Onan generators
Describe what the generator is doing
Onan generators are part of our RV service catalog. Our listing covers generators that will not crank, will not hold a load or shut themselves down. The way the problem appears is useful information to share when you call.
Tell us whether the generator does not crank at all, starts and then stops, or runs until you try to use the RV's appliances. If you already have a displayed fault message or code, write it down. Share what you have observed without repeatedly running a faulty unit to recreate the problem.
House and chassis batteries and charging faults are also listed services. If your concern involves both a generator and the RV's batteries, describe both issues rather than assuming they have the same cause.
Arrange service around your rig
Help My RV Repairs provides mobile and in-shop RV repair. Call to discuss the generator problem and whether mobile service or shop work is appropriate for your enquiry.
We are based at 7659 W Hatcher Rd, Peoria, Arizona 85345. Our published service areas include Peoria, Goodyear and Cave Creek. Confirm mobile coverage for your address or shop availability before bringing the rig in.
Our published hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you need emergency mobile help, call to ask what is possible. Availability and arrival times must be discussed directly.
Before you call about an Onan generator
- Identify the rig and generator. Have the RV year, make and model, plus the generator model and serial number if already available.
- Describe the pattern. Explain whether the issue is no-crank, a shutdown or difficulty holding a load, and when you first noticed it.
- Share the location. Give the city, address and where the RV is parked so you can discuss service arrangements.
- Bring any claim details. Have your warranty provider, policy or claim number and existing communication ready.
We work with warranty companies and manufacturers. A provider must confirm coverage under the relevant policy; a generator service enquiry is not an approval of a warranty claim.
